The V Beam Perfecta Pulse Dye Laser is a pulse dye laser that delivers an intense but gentle burst of laser light. The light is absorbed by specific blood vessels or melanin in the skin
The V-beam Perfecta Pulse Dye laser is used to treat a variety of skin problems, both vascular and non-vascular skin conditions
Vascular skin conditions
- Birth marks: port wine stain, haemangioma
- Cherry angioma
- Rosacea and redness of face and neck
- Broken capillaries and veins
- Reduce acne outbreaks
- Red scars
- Stretch marks
- Poikiloderma
Non-vascular skin conditions
- Aging skin
- Plane warts
- Angiofibroma
- Pyogenic granuloma
- Brown spots: freckles
- Psoriasis
The V beam Perfecta Pulse Dye Laser technology
- The yellow 585-595nm wavelength is well absorbed by oxyhaemoglobin in the vessels and melanin in the skin. Hence it can treat red and brown skin lesions while leaving the surrounding skin intact
- The V Beam perfecta uses the micro-pulse technology where 8 pulses closely mimic one continuous pulse to allow uniform delivery of laser energy. This allows for gentle heating and uniform coagulation to close blood vessels and reduce redness.
- The V Beam Perfecta laser also disperse and remove brown spots
- The V Beam Perfecta laser uses a patented Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) which sprays a cool air onto the skin before the delivery of the laser beam. This protects the outer skin and also provide comfort for the patient
The V-Beam Perfecta Pulse Dye Laser treatment procedure
- No anaesthesia is needed
- A protective laser eye shield is put on before the treatment
- During the treatment, you might feel a warming or tingling sensation or a sensation like a rubber band snap. Each pulse of laser is delivered with a spray of cool air
- After the treatment, there is a slight pinkness at the treated area.
- In some conditions like keloids or port wine stain, there may be bruises which can last for 3-5 days.
